Happy Full Beaver moon in Taurus on November 8 at 11.02 UTC (see www.timeanddate.com for moonrise times in your region), There will be a full lunar eclipse. seen in North America, most of South America, Australia, Asia and parts of northern and eastern Europe. Even those who cannot see the full eclipse, the energies are ever-present. Time to shed what is no longer wanted as the moon darkens in the sky, with the extinguishing of a purple candle; lighting a silver or white one as the moon returns, naming all we seek to draw into our lives and can offer to others.

No pretending the moon shines on a perfect world, as sorrow, war and poverty still spread their grasping fingers. But we can take in her radiance, beauty and harmony and as we reach out for light returning with the fading eclipse, to illuminate our own small corner of the world. I remember as a child singing a hymn with the words In this world of darkness we all shall shine, you in your small corner and I in mine.

The angel of this full moon is Asmodel who helps us to create what is of worth in that small corner, though for some holding on even to that is so hard.

This angel, like the Taurean moon, offers the persistence of the beaver when the going is tough, patience, reliability and stability. The message of this moon is value your own worth and ignore those who make you feel bad, guilty or over- responsible for their well-being. If you doubt your own value, when times are uncertain or you are in an environment where others constantly put you down, try this Asmodel ritual around full moon.

You will need

A mirror you can see your head and shoulders in.

Five pink candles along the base of the mirror so their light reflects in the mirror

The Spell:

On night 1 light the first left-hand candle.

Gaze into the mirror saying Asmodel Angel of Radiance, Let my radiance grow, That others will value me, Asmodel make this so.

Blow out the candle.

On night 2, light the original candle and the next candle to its right repeating the spell and each night blowing out the candles to spread the light in and through the glass.

On night 3 light three candles including the original ones repeating the spell.

On night 4 add the fourth candle to the three already lit, repeating the spell.

On night 5 when all five candles are alight, say Asmodel, as these candles glow, may hope for tomorrow likewise grow.

Blow out the candles and clap your hands saying, Light enter me, that all will see, light from each corner of the world joined radiantly.

Walk strong in your own light, knowing the eclipsed moon will return and with it hope for the better tomorrow we can together create.
