Welcome to the full moon in Libra at 00.22 UTC on April 13, although like all full moons it appears full-grown in the days before and after and remains in the sky from sunset to sunrise (see www.timeanddate.com for the moon time and date-in your location - it appears on 12th in some regions of the world).
The Pink Moon is the first full moon of Spring and named after the blooming of the early springtime flower in central and eastern North America called moss phlox or moss pink. This moon is also called Breaking Ice Moon among the Algonquin people or Moon when the streams are navigable again by the Dakota nation, so heralding the breakthrough of new flowing energies, perhaps towards world peace in the many troubled lands. It is the Peony moon in much of Asia especially China and was the Sprouting or Seed moon among the Celts and Egg moon by the Anglo Saxons.
It is a micro-moon, almost at the point where it is furthest from the earth though it will not necessarily look smaller. Its influence is therefore more subtle than usual than at a full or super-moon, apt in Libra where emotions are likewise less intense and so not overwhelming; a gentle lift in emotions rather than a surge; good for delicate negotiations, sensitive matters; much needed in the present world as well in personal situations.
This moon inspires growing or restored unity among partners, family, friends, organizations and communities, reopening communication to move seemingly immovable situations forward, a better chance than usual for bringing reconciliation to warring family members, neighbours, friends or colleagues; above all finding inner tranquility within yourself, not through trying to make others happy.
Venus also leaves her retrograde on 13th and as the ruler of Libra this assists the Libran moon putting into practice the insights especially in relationships gained during the retrograde.
Time on the Pink Moon for teamwork, especially collaborating with someone like-minded, redecorating, reshaping one’s wardrobe and image and any creative ventures especially involving colour.
An ideal moon for a romantic proposal if contemplating marriage, a major love commitment or moving in together or by sending a bouquet of pink flowers with thanks to someone you may have taken for granted.
Another maybe final try if you wish to strengthen or mend a love commitment, marriage or work partnership, while insisting on mutual respect, not sacrificing your principles for a peace at any price compromise.
Zuriel, the teacher angel who brings calm and reason to any situation, rules this full moon. He signifies justice whether legal or personal strengthening resistance to emotional manipulation, inequality and unwarranted guilt or obligation.
However, Zuriel is a reminder to avoid sitting on the fence in matters of principle, being railroaded into giving an opinion, flirting, falling for flattery and charismatic con-merchants or trying to live a double life especially in love.
May your Libran moon bring harmony to your life and to the world.
